When someone exchanges their life for ours, we don't waste it. Do you know that you were bought at a price?

Iron Man: You saved me.

Yinsen: Don't waste it, don't waste it.

“It always rains the hardest on the people who deserves the sun.”

No, it doesn’t. Because we all need some rain in life. There wouldn’t be rainbows if there’s no rain.

Stop drowning in self-pity and start learning to dance in the storms. Get an umbrella. Put on a raincoat. Or go and get drenched to the skin in the rain. The sun will come out one day.

"We mustn’t see anything as nothing. A blank wall is not nothing. There is always something, in everything. And if we search hard enough, within this something, there will be beauty."

People disappoint.

Everyone knows that.

Nobody likes to be disappointed.

Everyone should never put themselves in situations where they could possibly be disappointed.

But yet, everyone does. Over, and over, and over again. It’s as if we never learn. The moment we’re disappointed we tell ourselves to never let down our guard again. To never expect anything from anyone ever again. We tell ourselves that we shouldn’t depend on other people, that we should be stronger, more independent, more self-reliant. To do things by ourselves, no matter how difficult they may be. To reject all forms of love and care because we don’t want to be disappointed again.

But as quickly as we say it, we forget it. We put ourselves in vulnerable situations, and we get disappointed again.

As much as that sounds foolish, that’s the beauty of being human.

It’s to be irrational sometimes. To defy the flow of logic. To have a heart. To believe in the good in other people even though we have been bruised over and over again.

At the end of the day, we are only human. We will all disappoint, and we will all be disappointed. But the important thing is not to keep an account of all these bad experiences, and learn to let go of them, and not to let these part hurts blind us. Only then will we find the beauty in life, in people. Because even though there will always be disappointing times, there will be beautiful times to hold and to cherish.

And most importantly, remember that God is not human. He will never, ever disappoint.

If you feel confused and lost, it’s okay, because God isn’t disoriented. He knows what He’s doing.

"Courage is not the towering oak that sees storms come and go; it is the fragile blossom that opens in the snow."
